The International Humanitarian College of London opens enrolment for a blended professional development experience combining four weeks of online learning with an in-person week in the UK capital - open to all nationalities.

London, UK - The International Humanitarian College of London (IHCL) has announced the launch of its inaugural International Short Course programme, a blended learning opportunity designed for professionals, career changers, and international students seeking high-impact, accredited training in a global environment. The programme combines four weeks of flexible online study with a structured one-week residential experience in London, beginning 6 July 2026.

6 July - London week start date

4 weeks - Online course duration

4 - Courses available

Global - All nationalities welcome

Participants choose from one of four professional development short courses, each priced at £350 for the four-week online component, and then travel to London for an intensive week of in-person teaching, guest lectures, cross-cohort workshops, guided city excursions, and networking events - culminating in a graduation ceremony and certificate presentation.

Four courses to choose from

Management Essentials for New Leaders - 4 weeks · £350

Critical Thinking & Problem Solving - 4 weeks · £350

Emotional Intelligence for Managers - 4 weeks · £350

Introduction to Project Management - 4 weeks · £350

Each course is delivered entirely online, allowing participants to study from any location before joining their global cohort in London. The programme is structured to serve professionals who want practical, career-relevant qualifications alongside genuine international exposure - without committing to a long-term degree programme.

A structured week in London

The London week follows a full Monday-to-Friday schedule with no gaps. Monday begins with a welcome reception and cohort introductions, followed by an evening orientation walk through the city. Tuesday brings a keynote from an industry expert and afternoon cross-course workshops. Wednesday is dedicated to a full-day excursion to cultural and business landmarks across London, with a networking dinner in the evening. Thursday features guest speakers, live panel discussions, and course-specific deep-dive sessions. The week concludes on Friday with group presentations, a reflection session, and a graduation and farewell celebration.

"Professional development that actually goes somewhere" - the programme is designed for anyone who has been doing online courses in isolation and wants the momentum that only comes from being in a room with equally motivated people from around the world.

Accommodation and logistics

IHCL has partnered with London Nest to provide accommodation support for international participants. Indicative pricing starts from approximately £270–£435 per week depending on room type, with options including ensuite rooms, double ensuite rooms, and studio apartments. Bookings will be arranged based on participant demand and availability closer to the programme start date.

Who the programme is designed for

The International Short Course is open to all nationalities and is particularly suited to working professionals looking to combine travel with structured learning, students seeking face-to-face experience to complement an online qualification, career changers and entrepreneurs at any level, and international students who want to study and network in an English-speaking environment in one of the world's leading cities.

IHCL positions the programme explicitly around the value of in-person connection: practitioners and specialists attend throughout the week for talks, panel sessions, and discussions that go beyond what is possible in an online setting. The cohort itself - drawn from different countries, industries, and disciplines - is described by the college as one of the core outputs of the week.
