What does becoming an OTHM Approved Centre mean?
Centre approval is an important part of OTHM's quality assurance process. OTHM states that institutions seeking centre approval must demonstrate appropriate resources, rigorous processes and relevant expertise. Its approval process also considers areas including staffing, policies, assessment and internal quality assurance.
For IHCL, becoming an approved centre means that the College is authorised to deliver the specific OTHM qualifications included in its approval.
The approval covers blended delivery, supporting IHCL's focus on flexible approaches to higher and professional education.
Learning that reflects a changing professional landscape
The new portfolio brings together qualifications across several areas of professional development.
From business management, strategic leadership and marketing to tourism and hospitality, artificial intelligence, international business law and organisational psychology, the programmes reflect a range of academic and professional interests.
The OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Marketing, for example, is designed to develop learners' understanding of marketing and branding in relation to strategic decision-making and organisational competitiveness.
More broadly, OTHM describes its qualifications as providing flexible routes within the Regulated Qualifications Framework, with qualifications at the same level representing a similar level of difficulty while varying in size and content.
For IHCL, this creates an opportunity to offer students a wider choice of structured qualification routes while maintaining the College's focus on flexible learning.
What comes next for IHCL?
The OTHM approval is part of IHCL's continued development as an institution focused on flexible, accessible and professionally relevant education.
As the College expands its academic portfolio, the focus remains on creating learning experiences that respond to different students, different goals and different stages of professional development.
Our aim is simple: to give learners more meaningful choices in how they build their knowledge, skills and future.
The new OTHM qualifications are now part of the growing IHCL portfolio, with further information about programme structure, entry requirements, delivery and applications available through the College.
